Our Moxi – short for Management by Proxy – has been built to assist remote managers in the efficient operation of their assets.
Each Moxi receives information both directly from the asset, via sensors, and from a local operative, who can communicate presence and other salient information. The range of information receivable by the unit is only limited by imagination and this all be transmitted back to the manager seamlessly and in a timely fashion.
From the simplest – “I’m on site” and “ I’ve left site”, through to how many people have entered a building, how much money they spent and the utility costs for the day. The moxi can handle multiple inputs and link up with the access control system within the building to use its data.
The Moxis are mains powered, and communicate via GPRS. We do of course have situations where GPRS is difficult, and there are work arounds for this – ranging from hard wired telephone through to extended aerials.
Maintaining, staffing and the open/close routines of Council assets can be highly wasteful of precious resources as well as very difficult to manage in an efficient manner. Moxie is a completely configurable tool, located with the service room of a building, which empowers the manager to monitor activity within the building as well as schedule routine events like the opening and closing of doors.
Asset Monitoring: Moxi can monitor building functions like light and heat, as well as more commercial aspects like numbers of users entering a space. All data is recorded and transmitted back to the manager over the web.
Staff Management: Using key pad controls, staff can input arrival/departure times, request consumables, and record specific items like sharps. As well as receiving information, managers can leave basic instructions over the LED display. Exception reports based on expected actions are easily produced over the web.
Equipment Instruction: Routine activities like the open/close of doors or the functioning of lights can be managed from the desktop of the manager. One off events can also be programmed simply and quickly. This ends the reliance of the staff members ability to keep to time routines and places the emphasis on staff carrying out productive activity.
